She is a stage and film actress, poetess, essay writer and playwright as well as author of literary works for young readers and professor at the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television in Ljubljana where she herself graduated from in 1983. She has received numerous awards, for example Borštnik Acting Award, Borštnik Ring Award for Lifetime Achievements in Acting, several yearly Distinguished Comedy Actor Awards, Prešeren Fund Award, Sever Award and the international literary acknowledgement Umberto Saba Award.
