Flight to Rome A Play With a Poem

Year of writing: 2005
Clash of ideologies, beliefs, standpoints. Emotions versus reason, sensibility versus obstinacy, fear versus courage.
Total cast size: 2 (2 m)
clash of generations, current social picture of the world, ethical dilemmas

Flight to Rome stems from a world after 9/11. This play is a masterpiece of detecting the ethical dilemmas of present day. The script outlines the clash of two individuals and two worlds – a young, technical, efficient and insensitive on one hand and an old, infused with emotions and miracles on the other. In a single forceful stroke, the play takes us through the present world of terror and fear. Two entirely different men meet in an airport chapel. They each have a very special talent, but one is carrying an explosive whilst the other might just have God on his side.
