grown-ups

A group of young adults meets regularly and plays cards. One of them informs the group that he will move to another city (Maribor). This arouses strong emotions in others and causes unexpected reactions. They are afraid of losing the world they know and feel safe in. In the second part of the play, we see them when they are old and still trying to build the same relationships in the same situations that they had in their youth. Nothing changes them. Simona Semenič wrote about the play: "Tomaž's language is always flexible, alive and, which is especially valuable for theater texts, eloquent. In writing, the author is not only interested in this aspect of language or the word, but he also tries to operate with it on a content level, thereby moving it to the field of an active actor.

Sie haben mich gefragt, ob ich gehe. Ich habe mich noch nicht
entschieden. Die Bezahlung ist gleich, aber die Lebenshaltungskosten sind
niedriger. In Maribor kann ich mir schon für zweihundert im Monat eine
Wohnung mieten.
