The editorial office of a provincial branch of Radio Centre gets a new manager. Kremžar is succeeded by a young, ambitious Peter who wants to overhaul the station’s programme. What peeves the Head Office of the radio and the government most, is a programme called Phone of Truth which allows the public to hear the voices of simple workers and other ordinary people. The programme allows for too liberal and pluralistic opinions to be expressed. So, after his three months trial period, Peter is replaced by the previous manager Kremžar whose wife is finally expecting, but the baby’s real father is Peter.
